|
|
Hervey Bay has often been called the jewel in Queenslands
crown. It is also referred to as the Whale Watch Capital of the
World. A scenic 3 ½ hours drive north of Brisbane and only
45 minutes by air from Brisbane. Hervey Bay is an easily accessible
Holiday Destination. It has a population of approximately 43,000
residents.
The city has a wonderful sub tropical climate. Generally temperatures
range from 14 to 23 degrees centigrade in the winter and 22 to 29
degrees centigrade in the summer. Our rainfall is low and we have
many more fine days than other Queensland holiday centres.

Hervey Bay has some 60 kilometres of water frontage. It is located
on the southern tip of the famous Great Barrier Reef. No need to
travel further north when you can visit the Reef here. Hervey Bay
has 600 acres of reef just off shore from the Urangan Harbour.
Lying parallel to Hervey Bay on its east side is World heritage
Listed Fraser Island with its beautiful natural beaches, rain forests
and fresh water lakes.
Cycling, restaurant dining, cinemas, beaches, clubs, shopping centres
and sporting facilities cater for people of all age groups.
Hervey Bay offers an idyllic holiday environment. The fishing is
great. Catch a fish from the beach, the Urangan Pier or take a day
trip on a reef fishing boat.

Its
reputation as the Whale Watch Capital of the World is enhanced by
a pristine marine environment and expansive sheltered waters for
the Humpback Whales.
Hervey Bay is the ideal holiday destination where you can relax
